Police launch special motorcycle patrol in Colombo
The Police launched a special motorcycle patrol operation in Colombo today (Dec 24) to maintain law and order in keeping with the festive season.
Senior DIG of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon told Times Online that more than 200 civil security force officers and the Police will be a part of the 24-hour exercise.
He explained that these motorcycle patrols will be in operation at public places, religious places of worship, and in the vicinity of hotels as well.
The exercise would also be carried out in the Kandy and Jaffna districts.
