The three day long postal strike was called off todayfollowing the discussions held with the Post Master General and the Secretary of the Ministry of Posts.
Chinthaka Bandara of the United Postal Trade Union Alliance said steps are being taken by the postal workers to clear the accumulated letters.
However Mr Bandara noted that the strike has been called off temporarily and the government should give solutions to their demands within a two week period as agreed at the discussions.
