President Maithripala Sirisena who is on a working visit to Singapore called on his Singaporean counterpart Halimah Yacob at the Isthana Palace in Singapore today (Jan 24).
The two leaders discussed matters revolving around bilateral relations between both countries.
During the discussion. Ms.Yacob had appreciated Sri Lanka's measures in terms of political, social, and economic development. She had also lauded President Sirisena's efforts to overcome drug trafficking in Sri Lanka
The meeting between the two leaders had taken place on the sidelines of Mr. Sirisena's visit to Singapore in which he is expected to attend the Asia Pacific Forum of Environment Ministers and Heads of Environment Authorities.
