President Maithripala Sirisena returned to the country this evening after completion of a successful visit to New York where he made a speech at the United Nations General Assembly. He arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Posters have been put up the suburbs of Colombo praising the President what they call " Securing the country from the imperialist forces".
