President Maithripala Sirisena has directed the Police and the Presidential Security division (PSD) to investigate the incident which took place last Saturday night at a nightclub in Colombo in which his son Daham Sirisena is alleged to have been involved.
Acting Media Minister Karuratna Paranawithana told reporters at the weekly Cabinet briefing today that there were many reports on social media regarding the incident including some claiming the President’ son was involved in it.
“Some people claimed that Mr. Sirisena was among the people who invaded the night club while others claimed that he was not involved,” he said.
Mr. Paranawithana said that President has directed that the Police and the PSD investigate the matter.
