A committee appointed to probe corruption and malpractices in the Central Cultural Fun d will accept complaints from the public until February 10, the Government Information Department said today.
The Committee was appointed by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa following allegations that the Central Cultural funds meant for protection of Archeological sites and development of arts were used for other purposes during the 2016 -2019 period .
The Committee is operating from the Ministry of Buddha Sasana in Battaramulla.
The Central Cultural Fund was under the purview of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs with Sajith Premadasa as the Minister. (DW)
