Protests mark 'Day of the Disappeared'

Several protests were held in the North in view of the International Day of the Disappeared which falls today (30). Protests were held opposite the Vavuniya District Secretarait and the Kandasamy Kovil in Kilinochchi. They were organized by the coalition of family members of missing persons. 

Those who took part pointed out that it some of their family members had been missing for more than 20 years. They called on the Government to take urgent measures to resolve this issue.
