The daughter of Minister Ravi Karunanayake appeared before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today (Jun 25).
Ornelle Karunanayake, was instructed by court to submit documents concerning Global Transportation and Logistics Pvt Ltd - a family owned business to the CID today.
She serves as the Executive Director of the company.
Further, the Chief Magistrate’s court had previously instructed the Minister’s daughter to provide a statement to the CID tomorrow.
These instructions had been issued during the ongoing court hearing in the case filed against Minister Karunanayake for providing false evidence before the Presidential Commission which probed the Central Bank bond scam in 2015.
