The road between Madampitiya Road junction until Rajamalwatta Road junction along Modara Street will be closed off for traffic starting from today (Aug 2), Police said.
According to the police, the road will be closed off for traffic due to a water pipe laying project during the following periods:
Due to this reason, drivers have been instructed to use the following alternative route :
Vehicles heading towards Modara Street: Take the left turn from Rajamalwatta Road, travel across Aluthmawatha Road, and then take the right turn onto Madampitiya Road
Meanwhile, the road between St Jame's junction until De La Salle junction along Muthuwella Mawatha will also be closed due to a pipe laying project druing the following hours :
Accordingly, drivers have been instructed to use the following alternative route during the road closure:
Vehicles heading towards Muthuwella Mawatha : Take the left turn towards Aluthmawatha Road from St. Jame's junction and then the right turn towards De La Salle street
