Security has been strengthened at the state university of Ruhuna after a clash between students and non-academic staff left 12 persons injured yesterday (Jul 10).
The injured persons included 10 students, a non-academic staffer and a security officer who are currently receiving treatment at the Matara hospital.
It is reported that police and army personnel had been deployed for security at the university due to the incident.
