Six youths attempting to break open an ATM machine of a state bank and rob money at Mulangavil town in Kilinochchi were arrested by the Mulangavil Police yesterday (Sept 3) evening.
The group had attempted to break open the ATM machine at Mulangavil town and rob the cash during several previous occasions.
Following several complaints to the Mulagavil police by this particular bank, police had arrived, inspected the bank’s CCTV cameras and obtained the footage of the youths who had attempted to break open the ATM machine.
Following investigations based on the CCTV photographs, Mulangavil Police arrested the six suspects.
Police who are investigating into this incident will produce the suspects before the Kilinochchi courts.
