Speaker Karu Jaysuriya has condemned the recent attacks on an Indian Central Reserve Police Force convoy in Jammu and Kashmir.
Issuing a special statement, the Speaker said that he reaffirms the firm solidarity of the Sri Lankan government with the people of India.
"I affirm that the Parliament of Sri Lanka is resolute in its committment to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations" the statement read.
Mr. Jayasuriya also urged on all countries and international organisations to join hands and take swift measures to eradicate this "menace".
