A Sri Lankan was arrested in connection to a Marijuana drug bust worth Rs 10 million (1 crore) in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India.
Indian media quoting Police said that a tax officer was also arrested in connection with the drug seizure.
It is reported that a stock of the said narcotic weighing 196 kilograms was intended to be smuggled into Sri Lanka.
The marijuana was supposed to be exchanged into gold.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
