Sri Pada pilgrimage to begin
The Sri Pada pilgrim season begins tomorrow on Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day, (Dec 13) and concludes on Vesak Pasalosvaka Poya Day next year.
The casket of the sacred relics, sacred objects and the statue of deity Sumana Saman would be conveyed in a procession from the Galpoththewala Raja Maha Viharaya to the Sri Pada Maluwa to be placed there tonight, said Sri Padasthanadipathi Ven. Bengamuwe Dhamaadinna Thera.
