Minister of Port and Shipping Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe said that that Sri Lanaka Freedom Party(SLFP) will take stern action against members who will cross over to other parties during the election.
He said that they will even even take action against members appearing at stages of Joint opposition (JO) party.
“ We will remove their membership according to the party constitution and even file court case at the supreme courts and vacate their parliamentary membership according to the 19 amendment to the constitution” he said.
He said that there is no issue with party associates of JO or any other party joining and supporting SLFP, but members who are attempting to destroy the party would be subjected removal.
