The Special Task Force (STF) continues to be left out of the weekly intelligence coordination meetings even three months after the Easter Sunday terror attacks, STF Commandant, Senior DIG M.R. Latheef told the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) probing the attacks today (25).
Giving evidence before the PSC, SDIG Latheef revealed that he had formally requested that the STF be invited to the meeting, where intelligence information is discussed and reviewed, but that the STF has still not been invited to these meetings.
SDIG Latheef noted that the STF was not invited to the weekly intelligence coordination meeting before the terror attacks and has still not been invited even in the post-4/21 scenario.
The STF Commandant further stated that he had not been invited to any National Security Council (NSC) meetings prior to the Easter Sunday attacks, though he has been invited to meetings after the attacks.
