A suspect arrested for heroin possession committed suicide inside a cell at the Ja Ela police station today morning, police said. He was arrested by the police yesterday night at 11.30pm. The 38 years old victim from Ja Ela, used his dresses to hang himself in the cell.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
