A suspect has been arrested with counterfeit Rs 5000 notes in Kuruwita, Ratnapura yesterday (Jun 6).
The arrest was carried put at around 8:50 pm, police said.
According to the police, the suspect has been identified as 27-year old Nalin Kumara Wanasinghe. He is a resident of Elayapaththuwa.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Criminal Investigations Department for further inquiry.
