Teachers protest in Colombo

The Ceylon Teachers' Union (CTU) held a protest in Colombo today calling on the Government to safeguard the rights of principals. They also warned the Government not to provide principal posts to political appointees. 

Heavy traffic was reported around Flower Road in Colombo due to the protest.
