Two men and a woman who were bathing in the seas of Kammalawella, Wennappuwa drowned this evening (11).
Police said a man and a woman who were swept out to sea were washed ashore later and admitted to the Dankotuwa Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The body of the other male is yet to be found and search operations are ongoing.
The deceased have been identified as residents of Makandura and Sandalankawa. The bodies are currently being kept at the Dankotuwa Hospital and investigations are underway.
