The Tamil National Allaince (TNA) has decided to take part in the government of Eastern Provincial Council (EPC) with Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) after they have reached an agreement of power sharing in the council, provincial sources said. According to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the SLMC last week, the TNA has agreed to accept two ministerial portfolios and deputy chairman post in the council. The TNA has nominated opposition leader of EPC Singaravelu Thandayuthapani and councilor K.Thurairajasingham for the ministerial posts while councilor fromBatticoala district Prasanna Indrakumar has been nominated as deputy chairman.
