MP Wijedasa Rajapaksa has attended today's parliamentary sittings in spite of the UPFA's decision to boycott today's session.
Speaking during the debate, MP Rajapaksa said that the President and the Prime Minister have failed to control their parties and the rift that developed between the two factions.
He further said that providing room for the court to resolve the current crisis will undermine the integrity of Parliament.
"Those who have the majority in Parliament should be given the opportunity to govern the country" he added.
Meanwhile, UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake, while presenting the motion to slash funds for the Prime Minister's office said that the Prime Minister's office has spent Rs 800 million so far for helicopter rides.
