A 55 year old person died on the spot after he was hit by train in Kokuvil, Jaffna today. According to the police the victim defied the warning signal light and attempted to cross the track. He was hit by the Colombo bound Jaffna train.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
