Train services along the main line have been affected due to a malfunctioning of a train between Alawwa and Polgahawela.
According to the Railways Department, a train travelling from Polgahawela had experienced a mechanical failure on its journey to Colombo today (Aug 3).
Seven trains which were expected to travel across the main railway line had been delayed as a result of this incident.
However, the Department stated that measures are being taken to repair the mechanical glitch in the train.
