Trains along main line delayed again
Train services along the main line were disrupted again this morning after a container truck crashed into the 'Kalu Palama' railway bridge on the Kelaniya-Biyagama Road. Efforts are currently ongoing to repair the damaged section of the bridge and railway track.
This is the second day in a row that services along the main line have been disrupted. Services were disrupted last morning as well when a tipper vehicle collided with a train traveling from Rambukkana to Fort at an unprotected railway crossing at Wanawasala. That incident resulted in the death of one train passenger and injuries to five others.
