Two persons were arrested while transporting 3000 illegal foreign cigarettes in a three-wheeler from Diyagama in Nuwara Eliya.
Diyagama Police said the suspects were from Gampola and they were transporting the cigarettes to be distributed in Hatton, Norwood, Lindula and Thalawakele areas.
The suspects along with the three-wheeler are to be produces before the Nuwara Eliya magistrate.
