The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) released its election manifesto in Colombo, today at the Henry Pedris Ground in Colombo.
Themed as ‘Assurance for Future’ the election manifesto describes how the UPFA government would implement plans and programmes for socio-economic development of the country during the next five years. The UPFA leaders held a lengthy discussion with the President about the ways and means of plan implementation.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, UPFA candidates contesting the August 17 Parliament election and representatives of civil society organisations participated at the event.
