Urgent discussion were held last evening between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe regarding the appointment of the new cabinet
According to sources, MPs Rajitha Senaratne, Ranjith Madduma Bandara and Navin Dissanayake participated in the discussion at the President's official residence.
Discussions which went on for more than an hour had begun at 8pm last evening. The discussions were reported to have centered around two UNP MPs that the President had rejected from the list of Cabinet ministers.
Meanwhile, the cabinet will most likely be sworn in tomorrow (Dec 20)
