The Ministry of Public Administration has decided to give effect to a previous circular which allows employees to work from home.
A senior official of the Ministry said that the option has been given in view of difficulties for employees to turn up at their work places and other practical difficulties due to the COVID situation.
Among the issues they were facing were the transport arrangements.
Under the previous circular the Ministry also had given the option for departments and ministries to re-arrange their working hours depending on the availability of employees.
