The funeral of Ravi Jayawardena, the son of the country’s first Executive President J.R. Jayawardena was held yesterday. He was 80at the time of his death and is survived by three sons.
The Government is finalising a list of names to be posted as heads of Sri Lanka’s missions abroad with ex-Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya assuming the position of Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
