Golf: Chanaka Leads Again

Ranking Tournament of Sri Lanka Golf held at Nuwara Eliya Golf Course between October 11-14 saw M.U.Chanaka Perera return at the top with a gross score of 291 over four rounds.

He pipped Uchitha Ranasinghe by 4 strokes.

Priya Hemantha was placed 3rd with a gross score of 296, a single stroke behind Uchitha in a closely fought tussle.

M.H.Chalitha Pushpika was placed 4^th with a gross score of 317 ,but officially he is the 02^nd Runner up of this tournament ,because Priya Hemantha is a Coach and participated behalf of all Sri Lankan Golf Players.

The course was not easy to negotiate and the scores of the top three should be considered fair returns to these golfers.

Chanaka and Uchitha are warming up to participate in the forthcoming Asia Pacific Golf Tournament in Thailand in November 2022 and should improve if they are to make the cut at this event.
