Batting all-rounder Janith Liyanage was handed his ODI debut today in the opening match of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe at R Premadasa Stadium. After winning the toss, Sri Lanka elected to bat first.
The 28-year-old former St. Peter’s College cricketer has been in awesome form in the Major Club limited over series having scored 383 runs in six innings.
Faraz Akram and Tapiwa Mufudza were handed debut by the Zimbabwe team.
