The Air Force Commander's Cup 7s rugby tournament will be played from August 13 and 20 at the Maligapitiya ground in Kurunegala and the Ratmalana Air Force ground.
The tournament, which was postponed for almost an year, will be played in two legs, with the first scheduled on August 13 at the Maligapitiya ground in Kurunegala followed by the second leg on August 20 at Ratmalana.
The blueprint for the inaugural 7s tournament was made during the latter months of 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
With several teams pulling out after the initial postponement, the organisers finalised the competition to be held during March earlier this year, but was suddenly abandoned after players and officials had already entered a bio security bubble.
The tournament was initiated to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Sri Lanka Air Force.
