The Sri Lankan Cricket team left the island late on Sunday on their all-format and all-important tour to New Zealand.
Flying through Singapore, the tour will start with a decisive two-match test series.
Should the tourists win it 2-0, they will book their inaugural World Test Championship Final Berth.
The opening test starts at Hagley Oval, Christchurch and the second and final match moves onto Wellington.
The three-match ODI series will also serve match practise prior to the 50-over World Cup in India, later this year.
The limited-overs-leg of the tour gets underway on March 25
