Sports Diary for this week - March 26-April 1

The Big Match Season for 2026 continues with few important Limited Overs games over the weekend in Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Moratuwa and Kurunegala.

The quarter-finals of the SLC Inter-School Under-19 Cricket Tournament of the Tier ‘A’ and Tier ‘B’ segments will begin this week at neutral venues around the country.

The final week fixtures of the Super 8s stage of the SLC Major League Cricket Tournament will be played with the four games over the weekend, while the second leg of the SLR Sevens Series 2026 will be played at the Racecourse ground during the weekend.

The Dialog Schools Under-19 Rugby Knockout Championship 2026, for the President’s Trophy, has reached the semi-final stage, with two deciders up in Colombo on Saturday (28) and Sunday (29).
