Sports Diary for this week - March 5-11

The SLR-Maliban Clifford Cup Knockout Championship 2025/26 will end this weekend with the grand final on Saturday (7) between CR&FC and Havelocks Sports Club at Longdon Place with the kickoff set at 6:00pm.  

The Big Match Season for 2026, which set off last week, will continue with three games in Jaffna, Moratuwa and Galle. The 119th Battle of North between St. John’s College and hosts Jaffna Central College will take place on March 5, 6 and 7, while the 76th Battle of the Golds between St. Sebastian’s College and Prince of Wales College will take place at Moratuwa on March 6, 7 and 8. The 2nd Battle of Dreams between St. Aloysius College, Galle and Holy Cross College, Kalutara will take place at the Galle International Stadium on March 6 and 7.

The SLC Major League Cricket Tournament resumes with four matches of the Super 8s stage from Friday (6).

The FSL Champions League 2025/26 football tournament has reached the Super 8 and Relegation stages.
