Sports Diary for this week

Sri Lanka will take on England in their second of the three Test matches at the Lord’s, played between Thursday (29) and Monday (Sept 2).

With the successful conclusion of Dialog Schools Rugby League, where St. Peter’s College emerged champions, beating Isipathana College at Havelock Park a fortnight ago, the focus now shifts towards the Dialog President’s Cup Schools Knockout Rugby Championship. The top two teams – St. Peter’s College and Isipathana College – have received byes in their quarter-final lineups, with the two remaining qualifiers set to be played on Friday (30) and Saturday (31).

Sri Lanka ‘A’ currently on tour in South Africa, will play three Unofficial One Day International matches during the week, with all matches set to be played at Potchefstroom.

The SLC Under-23 Major Club Tournament, which kicked off last week, continues this week as well with 18 teams competing under two groups for the title.
