Sports Minister appoints new National Selection Committee

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Roshan Ranasinghe appointed a seven-member National Sports Selection Committee, which will be headed by Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva.

The committee includes Arjun Rishya Fernando as the Secretary, while Consultant Surgeon Dr. Maiya Gunasekera, Prasanna Chandith (Representative Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), Sanath Jayasuriya, Maxwell de Silva (Representative National Olympic Committee) and Thilaka Jinadasa as members.
