Sri Lanka has sent a contingent of 35 athletes for the 39th Indian Veteran's Athletic Championship, which will be held at the Nazik City in Maharashtra.
Over 2000 athletes from all Indian states will compete in the event where Sri Lanka competes as invitees.
The Sri Lankan squad was picked from the 37th Mercantile Athletic Championship, where top three finishers of each event were recognised as eligible for the Indian Meet.
The three-day event began today (1) and will end on Sunday (3).
