Hatton National Bank (HNB), emerged champions of the 26th Mercantile League Basketball Tournament 2016, when they beat Seylan Bank with relative ease, 59-43, in the final played at Henry Pediris Park courts.
The leading scorers for the winners were Kumarine Silva (20 points) Anjalee Ekanayake (13 points) and Imesha Thathasarani (12 points).
The champion HNB team led by Anjalee Ekanayake included Janitha Gunapala, Imesha Thathsarani, Pabasara Gunasekara, Gayanjali Amarawansha, Umanga de Zoysa, Sashika Samarasinghe, Dharshika Abeywickrama, Gayani Dissanayake, Kumarine Silva, Hansi Bandara and Asha Nanayakkara.
