Big Match: Kalutara beat Tissa Central by 5 wickets

A match bag of eight wickets by Kavindu Jayawickrama and half tons by Krishan Viranga and Vivindu Silva helped Kalutara MV record a comfortable five wicket win over traditional rivals Tissa Central Kalutara in the 61st Battle of Mangoosteen big match concluded at Kalutara on Saturday (30).

Kalutara MV chasing 111 runs for victory was helped by an unbeaten knock of 57 by Vivindu, enabled them to reached the target with ease.

Tissa Central Kalutara 145 all out (Ashen Chanuka 30, Oshen Minodh 21, Kosala Ravindu 47: Kavindu Jayawickrama 5/51, Avishka Lakshan 3/31) and 126 all out (Eranda Dewmith 33, Dharsha Madusanka 32: Vishmika Costa 4/15, Kavindu Jayawickrama 3/43, Dilesh Arunodya 2/ 22)

Kalutara Vidyalaya 161 all out (Krishan Viranga 50, Mishara Fernando 31, Suboda Wanigasinghe 23: Rohan Sanjaya 4/44, Ashen Nawanjana 3/28, Heshan Duminda 2/31) and 114 for 5 wickets at close (Vivindu Silva 57n.o.: Heshan Duminda 2/20)
