The opening event in the Travel Trade Sports Club Sports Calendar 2016 - the 4th Carrom Championships commenced on Saturday (April 30) at the Galadari Hotel, 'Arena' Lounge, commencing 9.00am.
The tournament will be conducted on two formats for Men and Women; The Men's on a team Championship basis, consisting three singles and two doubles and Women's singles and doubles on a Knock-out basis.
The following 12 teams have confirmed their participation: Mt. Lavinia Hotel, Sri Lankan Airlines, George Steuart Travels, Cinnamon Lakeside,Galadari Hotel, Green Holiday Centre, Kingsbury Hotel, Walkers Tours/Whittalls Travels, Citrus Waskaduwa, Turrya Kalutara, Heritance Ahungalle and Theme Resorts.
