Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been compelled to postpone its Elections following a directive recommended by the Attorney General's Department today (27).
According to information the Ministry of Sports has sought AG's Department advise on a complaint received with regard to the formation of the Election Committee.
According to the Sports Regulations of Sri Lanka, the Election Committee should be appointed at an Annual General Meeting or an Special General Meeting to conduct an election.
SLC elections were scheduled for May 19.
