K. Mathivanan, an incumbent Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has tendered his desire to step down from the position he held with immediate effect today (29), according to reliable sources.
Mr. Mathivanan was elected during the 2016 elections of SLC, and has been the only candidate from the opposition clan that overall secured the top positions of the current SLC administration.
The reason behind his decision to resign is yet unknown, but sources confirmed that Mr. Mathivanan has informed SLC in writing of his will to step down.
SLC will confirm the development with an official statement during the day.
