It was revealed at the press conference held at the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Fine Dining Restaurant on Wednesday (30) that 4 teams of veterans will be in action at the inaugural Sri Lanka Masters T20 League Quadrangular Tournament 2019, starting on February 3.
The senior citizens- Over (O)-50, of 4 Cricket Associations- MCA, State Services Cricket Association (SSCA), Nationalised Services Cricket Association (NSCA) and Colombo Masters Cricket Association (CMCA), are believed to have gone into intensive fitness training for the past three weeks.
The tournament, a brainchild of Mahes de Zoysa, former Anandian wicketkeeper-batsman and CMCA founder in 2017, will get under way on February 3 at the NSCA Grounds, Ratmalana.
The Quadrangular will be continued from February 8-17 at the Bloomfield C&AC grounds and the two finals, including the playoff for 3rd place will be held on February 24 at the MCA grounds.
