Imesh Ranasinghe (19) lost his Men's Singles Table Tennis Group 12 match against Owen Cathcart 3-4 at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (10).
The game was closely battled by both paddlers who fought neck-to-neck right until the seventh set.
Cathcart (16) won the game with set scores of 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 5-11 and 11-4, which sealed his win.

An exhibition badminton match between Sri Lanka’s youngest Olympian shuttler, Viren Nettasinghe, and Anders Antonsen, the World No.2 ranked in Men’s Singles, will take place at the Mercantile Badminton Association (MBA) Courts at Malalasekara Mawatha, Colombo 7 on Friday (13).
