Sri Lankan athlete Janaka Wimalasiri qualified cleared 7.84m in the Men's Long Jump Qualifying Round at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (10).
Wimalasiri finished fifth behind Henry Frayne (Aus - 8.34m), Damar Forbes (Jam - 7.93m), Luvo Manyonga (RSA - 7.91m) and Tajay Gyle (Jam - 7.88m) in the qualifiers.
He has been lined up among 12 athletes in the Men's Long Jump final, scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 4.00pm Sri Lanka time.
