Sri Lankan shuttler Buwaneka Goonathileke lost to Singapore's Zin Ryan Ng in the Badminton Men's Singles Round of 16 match at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (12).
Ng beat Buwaneka 2-1 but he had to battle hard to earn the win.
The Singaporean claimed the first set 21-9, but Buwaneka bounced back to win second set 21-10 to equalise.
In a hard-fought third set, both shuttlers were trying to beat each other but eventually Ng recorded a thrilling 21-19 win to claim the match 2-1.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake is so far leading by securing (52.5%) while Sajith Premadasa secured (21.5 % ) and Ranil Wickremesinghe (19.2%) trailing behind. Meanwhile, independent candidate Ariyanethirnan Pakkiyaselvam secured the Nallur Electorate.
