The Sri Lanka Women's National Team won their first match against the Maldives by 2-0 in their SAFF Women's Championship 2019, played at the Shahid Rangasala Stadium in Nepal today (15).
Striker Chalani Ekanayake scored both goals for the winners while Sri Lanka took a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Sri Lanka play against India in their second group game of the tournament on Sunday (17) at the same venue.
