Defending champion K. Prabagaran, maintained his consistency scoring another 4 under par in the second round of the Solar Therm Sri Lanka Open 2014, played at the Royal Colombo Golf Club Course in Colombo. Prabagaran joint leader of four after round one, placed himself at the top of the standings on eight under par, one stroke ahead of Mithun Perera and M. Dharma of India tied in second place on seven under par. Anura Rohana returned another two under to be placed in 4th place on 4 under par. Zen Dharmaratne sponsored by CML MTD Walkers Group scored two under to be placed in 5th on 3 under par, five strokes off the lead. Kushal Johnpillai the leading Amateur in the ‘Open’ won the UTE CAT Challenge Trophy 2015, comfortably from Prashan Peiris by nine strokes in the Gross event while Kushal completyed adouble winning the Nett event too from Kris Krishnarajah who edged out Prashan for the Runner-up Prize on a count back. The Cut-off for the Solar Therm Sri Lanka Open was applied at 162 and 40 players advanced in to the last two rounds. Leader board after Round 2 134: K.
